Our Team

Our team of doctors and nurses are experienced the full range of presentations to general practice. We are able to manage all issues from acute and chronic medical care, pregnancy and women's health, sexual health, psychological issues such as anxiety and depression, as well as lifestyle issues such as family planning, relationship breakdown, and communication difficulties.

MD

Dr Alana Thompson is a locally trained GP Registrar. Alana grew up in country WA and completed her medical degree at UWA, she has since worked predominantly at Royal Perth Hospital and Armadale Health Service. Her special interests include Women's Health, Sexual Health, Mental Health and Rural Medicine.

Dr Alana consults Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and some Saturdays. 

 

MD

Dr Rachelle Ninio is a locally trained GP registrar. She studied at UWA and has worked at Royal Perth Hospital, Armadale Hospital, Kalgoorlie Health Campus and Broken Hill Hospital. Rachelle has two grown children and now lives locally with her husband.  She enjoys all aspects of general practice.

Dr Rachelle will be consulting Monday to Thursday and some Saturdays.

 

MBChB

Dr Clare Eskander is a GP registrar, trained in the UK, with an experience across a wide range of specialities both in the UK and Australia. Clare loves all aspects of General Practice, she has completed the Sydney Child Health Programme and the Certificate in Reproductive and Sexual Health. 

Dr Clare consults Monday mornings, Wednesday afternoons, Friday mornings and some Saturdays. 

 

 

MBBS FRCGP BSc(hons)

Dr Penny Wood is a locally trained GP and has been working at Alexander Heights since 2014. She lives in Perth with her wife and three young children. She has experience in emergency care and rural general practice.

Dr Penny currently has closed books and is not taking on new patients. Please contact the practice if you have a referral from your GP and it can be considered.

She is experienced with all aspects of general practice and has interests in LGBT issues, Paediatrics, Obesity, HIV Medicine, and Sexual Health. She also has a strong interest in mental health issues including family dysfunction, depression, and anxiety.

Penny is available for consultation Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, and works some Saturdays.

MBBS BSc(OT)(Hons)

Dr Ros Forward has interests in occupational health having previously worked in the mines and with the emergency services. She is a locally trained graduate and has completed a Certificate in sexual and reproductive health. She also has an interest in care for sexual and gender diverse people.

Dr Ros consults Monday, Tuesday, Thursday mornings and some Saturdays.

MBBS

Dr Michelle Tan is a locally trained GP. She studied at UWA and worked at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and Joondalup Health Campus before arriving at Alexander Heights. She has special interests in women's health and postgraduate qualifications in paediatrics, sexual health, and reproductive health. 

Dr Michelle consults Wednesday, Friday and some Saturdays.

 

 

MB BS BSc

Dr Kelly Windnagel is a locally trained GP . She has completed a certificate in sexual and reproductive health including IUD insertion. She also has an interest in women's health paediatrics and musculoskeletal medicine. She is competent in many different joint injections and minor procedures.

Dr Kelly consults Monday, Tuesday, Thursday mornings and some Saturdays.
